Key points arising from evidence-taking sessions (July 2012)
CEOs had different views on economies of scale within their group of schools. All felt that any expansion needs to be done with caution and careful planning to ensure that the infrastructure was in place to enable improvement on scale, especially as geographic proximity was central to enabling effective networking and sharing of best practice and resourcing across the group of schools.
